Dream Lake Rocky Mountain National Park - Colorado elopement and wedding photographer

Estes Park, Colorado

Sharon and Drew were married in a small ceremony in West Virginia but decided they wanted to do photos in their home state of Colorado as well. Even though it was December in Colorado, we decided to go for it!

We woke up at 3 a.m. and headed into Rocky Mountain National Park and began the icy hike up to Dream Lake using only headlamps.

We arrived just in time to warm up with apple cider I had packed in a thermos and watch the sunrise. The alpenglow on Hallet Peak and Flattop Mountain is iconic to RMNP. It is breathtaking at any time of year but especially stunning in winter when the snowy mountains reflecting the magenta and pink hues that rise with the sun.

If you would like more information on how to book with me and get started on planning an epic wedding day, please don’t hesitate to reach out!

A Dream Lake wedding is romantic and moody.

Nothing is more refreshing than a mountain sunrise. Dream Lake is an excellent hike in winter.

A rocky mountain wedding is a great low cost idea.
